Adel, Leeds & Ripley Castle – April
Spring is a well-loved season for weddings, and it’s easy to see why…………
Our Bride and Groom, Claire & Andrew’s choice of car was our beautiful Beauford Open Top Tourer. Collecting the bridal party from their home in Adel, Leeds they travelled in style to the charming church of St John the Baptist, Adel. Safely delivering the two adult bridesmaids on the first journey, followed by Mother-of-the-bride on the second before returning for Claire & her dad.
Following the service Claire & Andrew then enjoyed a leisurely trip with their chilled champagne around the country route we had planned for them over to the very stunning and elegant Ripley Castle. Arriving through the gates having stopped to put the roof down and driving around the courtyard up to the red carpet that awaited them in the lovely spring sunshine.
Easby Abbey, Richmond & Swinton Castle, Masham – December
Our Beauford Saloon took the Brides mum and bridesmaid first followed by the Bride and her dad, from their home in Richmond to the rather quaint St. Agatha’s church, Easby set in the shadow of Easby Abbey.
After the ceremony the photographer Richard Jones of MLA Wedding Photography utilised the beautiful setting taking pictures of the Bride and Groom within the abbey ruins. The Bride and Groom then enjoyed their champagne on a leisurely drive over to Swinton Castle, Masham for further photographs and their reception.
The first Beauford Cars were built in 1985 by, you guessed it, Beauford Cars Ltd. The company were originally base in Upholland in Lancashire but later moved to their current headquarters in Stoke-on-Trent where they remain a family owned and run business.
Originally built using a Mini body shell as the passenger compartment with either a Ford, Nissan or Rover engine and a Ford Sierra suspension the Beauford Tourer has since become the car of choice for kit car builders and wedding car businesses like ourselves ever since.
According to Kits Cars to Build there are over 2000 Beauford Tourers on the road in the UK and that shows no signs of slowing down.
